Data Sources

Data populated into your report will come from three places:

• DfE
• MIS
• User edit

DfE data

We pre-populate all our reports using published DfE data which can be viewed / downloaded from the websites below: 

Get Information About Schools (GIAS) (school basic information eg name, address, Headteacher's name)

Compare School Performance (historic finance, workforce and performance benchmarking data)

Statistics at DfE (latest available finance, workforce and performance data) 

We release data updates inline with the DfE schedule. To view up-coming release dates click here we aim to update our reports within one month of data being published.

MIS

Through a secure connection with Wonde, we can populate data from most MIS systems. In order for the data to reflect the period you wish to report, it is important to check the the reporting dates at the beginning of starting each report. Data pulled through will link directly to user-inputted dates.

User edited data

Where a user enters or edits data, this will remain as the data in that box, until it is re-edited or removed. This is because no user data will overwrite. It is easy to spot user edited data as the box will display in another colour.
